Haleem Mix (Easy Cook)
Ingredient
Grains: Wheat, Barley, Yellow Lentil, Red Lentil, White Lentil, Split Yellow Lentil Spices: Salt, Red Chilli, Turmeric, Coriander, Garlic, Cumin, Mustard, Ginger, Onion, Black Pepper, Big Cardamom, Acid (Citric Acid), Cinnamon, Clove, Green Cardamom, Bay Leaves, Mango Powder, Fennel, Carom
Serving Suggestion
“Serve with green chilli, fresh coriander, mint, ginger julienne, fried onion, lemon and Mehran Chaat Masala. Serving for 5 – 6 people. (1 packet 300g)”
STEPS OF COOKING
- Heat 1/2 cup oil, fry one sliced onion until it becomes light golden. Add Mehran Ginger & Garlic Paste, meat, bones and fry for a few minutes. Then add Mehran Haleem Mix Easy Cook (Masala – Sachet A) and fry well. Now add 15 cups of water, cover and cook on medium heat until meat becomes tender (or cook in a pressure cooker).
- Now take out the gravy and remove the meat from the bones (discard the bones once done and grind the meat). Dissolve Mehran Haleem Mix Easy Cook (Sachet B) in 2 – 3 cups of water. Mix well, add in grinded meat and gravy, cook on medium heat for 30 – 35 minutes.
- Heat the remaining oil, fry one sliced onion until it becomes golden and pour on the Haleem. Then cover and cook on low heat for 10 – 15 minutes and remove.
